A character building weekend at Mugello

The fourth round of the Italian championship provided another new circuit for Bart to master. Mugello is a high grip track where tyre degradation is a major factor, particularly in the prevailing hot temperatures. Ultimately Bart was unable to find a car set up across all of practice, qualifying and racing that gave him confidence, suffering from high speed oversteer throughout.
The team, mindful of tyre degradation waited until mid-session in Q1 to release Bart, but a red flag shortly thereafter effectively ended the opportunity to set a competitive time, with P23 being the outcome. Q2 saw Bart released immediately but this resulted in him encountering traffic a lap later as other teams released their cars. P19 was the outcome. The worst combined qualifying positions since Bart entered F4.
The three races proved no more fruitful with the whole team struggling for pace and finishes of P19, P15 and P21 made for a dismal and character building weekend overall, albeit knowledge gained of another circuit.
